The topic of the first meeting will be, What Is Gnosticism? Am I A Gnostic?

There will be a brief presentation outlining the history of gnosticism, and the very concept of "gnosis." Attendees will be asked for their input, personal experiences, and interpretations. The first meeting will also be of an introductory nature, and participants will discuss and suggest future topics, the days and times for future meetings, etc...

Snacks and drinks will be provided during a break period.

Are you a Gnostic?

If you prefer to get your spiritual nourishment from sources such as the Gospel of Thomas rather than the King James Bible, then you just might be a Gnostic.

If you're reading the Bible, and you find yourself empathizing with Eve, Cain, all the tribes that Yahweh commanded the Israelites to slaughter, Judas, etc., then you just might be a Gnostic.

If you ever ask yourself, "Where did I come from? How did I get here? How do I get the bleep out of here?", then you just might be a Gnostic.

If you're curious about the Da Vinci Code, Jesus macking on Mary Magdalene, secret or suppressed Gospels, the Kabala, Alchemy, Tarot, the Holy Grail, Cathars, Manicheans, Pythagoreans, Neoplatonism, and so on, then you just might be a Gnostic.

If you feel as though a government satellite is monitoring your thoughts, then you just might be a Gnostic, but you should probably stay away from our meetings since the government is constantly monitoring our group.

After taking the first step of admitting that you just might be a Gnostic, take the next step: come to the first meeting of the Gnostic Study Circle of the Inland Empire (the GSC - IE!).

    •  very knowledgeable speaker but would like more discussion
    •  This appears to be a place where unorthodox religious thoughts can be expressed in a open environment without worry of reprisal. Our first meeting was an eye opener regarding the definition of Gnosticism. Certainly what it meant in 150AD may not be what it means today, however some tenets remain the same.
