We are starting our group Gnostic initiation process, working up the body temple of the chakras by focusing on the root chakra. Anthony will provide a drumming excercise and Laura will guide us in a grounding meditation (perhaps these will be together). Mike will give us examples of grounding/root chakra metaphors and wisdom from the texts and Richard will tell us about the first sephira of the Kabblah Tree of Life. We will also discuss Elaine Pagels' "The Gnostic Paul: Gnostic Exegesis of the Pauline Letters".
There's a lot going on so please arrive early. Also, for those who want to stay later, we'll watch Zeitgeist via laura's computer, so please bring snacks to share.
